Division of History and Historic Preservation

The Division of History and Historic Preservation supports the Middlesex County Regional Cultural Plan to guide investment of significant resources in the County’s arts, culture and history assets for the benefit of all residents. The Division of History and Historic Preservation creates public programming and exhibits on regional and state history that make significant contributions to the field. The Division is supported by professional staff, seasonal employees, and contract services that provide a high level of expertise to support projects and programs with living history interpretation. Curators and guest curators provide professional management of artifacts featured in our exhibits and programs. In addition to our history outreach services to local communities we offer tours, workshops, lectures, and historic re-enactments all done within the highest standard of excellence and historical accuracy.
