In this episode of Share Your Foodways, Chef Tim shares his family’s Lunar New Year traditions and two of his favorite treats: Nian Gao, a Lunar New Year rice cake, and Zha Jiang Mian, a Beijing noodle dish with meat sauce. Though traditionally made with pork, the recipe can be adapted for chicken, tofu, or other meat substitute.
