Mignolo Arts is a 501-c3 nonprofit arts organization located in Metuchen, NJ whose mission it is to bring together artists from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. We envision a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary arts community that transcends the traditional boundaries of not only artistic disciplines, but of social constructs like age, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality.

The company began in 2017 when sisters, Charly and Eriel Santagado, founded Mignolo Dance, our contemporary dance company. They have been dancing and creating together for more than ten years and use this experience to continue to collaborate with each other and other dancers and artists throughout the tristate area. Their work explores elements of various artistic mediums through the lens of movement.

Our multipurpose arts space in Metuchen, NJ works to support local artists looking for high quality, affordable rental space for rehearsals, performances, and continued arts education. Alongside our work in the studio itself, Mignolo Arts is the home of digital, multi-medium magazine, Pinky Thinker Press. Pinky Thinker Press is an interdisciplinary arts publication founded in 2020 that publishes both digital and print editions of each issue. All selected contributors receive a modest $75 stipend. We publish three times a year, and welcome work in every genre you can think of as well as genre-defying works. From dance to poetry to essays to photography to film to comics to music to plays, we are open to everything! Funding for Pinky Thinker Press was provided by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund, made possible by the funds from Middlesex County, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
