Some of Middlesex Library’s core values are:

• Maintaining a membership of individuals and businesses that support and work in cooperation with the library, assisting and enhancing the facilities, resources, and services of the library.
• Increasing public awareness of the library, and encouraging the use of the library’s facilities, resources, and services.
• Encouraging support for the library through donations (monetary and materials such as books and equipment), endowments, and bequests.
• Offering educational and musical programming for the benefit of the community.
• Supporting the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.
