The Metlar-Bodine House Museum is a historical museum of the Piscataway Township in New Jersey and Heritage Partner of the Crossroads of the American Revolution.

Listed on the National and State Register of Historic Places, the Metlar-Bodine House is a regional museum that interprets the Raritan River Valley from prehistoric time to the present, using transportation as the connecting theme the building, the collection of area artifacts and the exhibits demonstrate changes to the geographical, socioeconomic, and demographic characteristics of the area.

Travel with a guide who leads you from the Indian Trail to the interstate, a 15,000-year journey of the Raritan River Valley: sail the Raritan River, walk the Minisink Trail, travel the King’s Highway, ship goods on the D & R Canal, ride two railroads and a trolley, fly by air and, finally, drive on interstate and local roads.

Explore an outdoor exhibit that describes the architectural growth of the museum’s vernacular style over three centuries.
