Join the New Brunswick Area NAACP for their 47th annual Freedom Fund Community Awards Luncheon as they highlight those who have dedicated their lives provoking change.
New Brunswick Area Branch NAACP’s (NBAB) 2024 Freedom Fund Community Service Awards Luncheon will take place at Pierre’s of South Brunswick. The theme this year is “Power of Unity: Thriving Together” as the NAACP of NB continues its tradition of recognizing those who work toward equal opportunity for all people and help communities thrive.
This year, we honor:
- Dr. Shawna Hudson & Dr. Diane Hill, of NJ HEROES TOO STUDY – Health Advocacy
- Lana Whitehead, Founder & CEO, Sharpened Mindz Organization – Community Service Leadership
- Andrew Ankamah, Jr, Founder & Director of the Accountability Initiative – Leadership & Anti-Violence Advocate
- Promise Culinary School– Race and Justice / Inclusive Economy
- Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omega Mu Zeta Chapter -Community Service Outreach

Luncheon tickets are $85 for adults and $50 for youth under 18 years old. The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 12 noon.
