First Fridays - Online Cultural Hub Celebration

Join the Arts Institute of Middlesex County at Monument Square Park (2 Livingston Ave. New Brunswick) on Friday, May 3rd, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM! We are kicking off our inaugural First Fridays celebration alongside the launch of our brand-new cultural hub, MiddlesexCountyCulture.com. This online destination will serve as your comprehensive guide to all the arts, cultural, and historical events taking place in Middlesex County!

Get ready for a day filled with your favorite artistic activities! Dive into the world of creativity with face painting by JazzyJ Artistry, Airbrush Tattoos by Meraki Face and Body Art, Caricatures by Matt Many, and Henna Tattoos by Rashmi Jhaveri. Experience captivating performances by Varsha Navrang and her dancers from Navrang Dance Academy, a mesmerizing Lion Dance by the students from the Murray Hill Cultural School, and patriotic music by New Jersey Fifes and Drums with East Jersey Old Town Village.

Do not miss the stunning mural crafted by New Brunswick Public School Teacher, David Lago, and his talented art students. Treat yourself to delicious empanadas and churros from Food Architects, while DJ Run the Fade keeps the energy soaring!

Best of all, this event is entirely FREE and open to everyone! Spread the word and join us, rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, all activities will move to the lobby of the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (11 Livingston Ave)
